The Maternity Session

From the moment you found out you were expecting, there’s a rush of emotions, anticipation and joy. The connection you have with your little one starts right from the very beginning.

Every pregnancy has a story that’s unique. Let’s document your journey and the story of your little one even before they enter the world.

This session focuses on family connection as well as mama to perfectly document this milestone. Each session is customized to your style. Whether you choose a gown from the client closet or choose a super cute outfit of your own, this session will be documented perfectly.

The Milestone Session

What a better way to capture their little personality – that toothless grin, kissable cheeks and one of my forever faves – the joy radiating from their eyes. Milestone sessions are a visual narrative of your baby’s growth and personality.

Milestone Sessions are typically scheduled at 3 months, 6-8 months (sitting unassisted) and 12 months. They’re curious little explorers at any of these glorious ages!

Simple & classic set ups put the focus on your baby and will leave you with timeless, frame-worthy images. With a boutique style and soft color palettes a wide selection of outfits, bonnets and blankets are provided. Customized styling is provided with a full client-closet – you only need your diaper bag and your little one!

Leah is both professional and passionate, and so easy to chat with throughout the sessions making everyone comfortable to get those nice natural photos! She knows how to guide you without feeling too posed and has a great eye for finding the most beautiful photo locations. Highly recommend!

So accommodating and made the entire experience simple for our entire family! Even my stubborn toddler cooperated. So great to work with, captured our family in a natural setting and made everyone super comfortable, so easy to touch base with and accommodating. She was amazing!

Hi I’m Leah!

I’m a wedding and newborn photographer located in Echo Lake, SK. I’m a true home-body, I love the every day, ordinary moments and love to celebrate my small wins. My husband and kids are my biggest cheerleaders! Our dogs Otis & Oliver probably get the most attention in our family! My love for coffee is strong and my obsession for pumpkin spice lattes is a little over the top (no judgement right?).

Documenting connection and moments is why I love what I do! I believe that the only way we can savor these life moments is through photos. I will forever by grateful to capture your life moments (big and small).

I’ve been right where you are and I know how overwhelming it can be to think of photos as a family and especially after having a baby. This is why I take all the overwhelm away and ensure you receive a relaxing and stress-free experience.

If you’re looking for a full-service experience in a welcoming space, I can ensure you will receive this from a fellow mama who values the importance of documenting this season of your life.

LOCATION

Regardless of location – this session will represent you, your family and your little ones. I work with every client to match the perfect location for you. Weather dependent, outdoor locations can be used from April to October. Studio sessions are customized prior to you arriving with color selections and props.

WARDROBE & STYLING

Gone are the days of “matchy matchy”! Instead of everyone wearing the same shade of a color think about what accent colors will compliment and coordinate. Have fun with textures as well! Start with 1 outfit and build the remaining outfits from there. Choosing a simple pattern for one person and pulling colors from that outfit will give you a well styled look. There is a selection of outfits from the client closet for mama and littles. Every session booked receives a questionnaire and selections can be made during your customized styling.

I’m also always up for a chat over the phone or virtually! Grab a coffee and let’s chat!

THE SESSION

The main goal for every session is for my clients to feel relaxed and just have some fun. If you’re worried about pressures of where to put your hands, where to look and how to stand – please don’t stress for one more minute! I will guide you through the whole session. Newborn sessions are baby led – we stop when they want for snuggles and feedings. Milestone sessions are also led by your little and scheduled during their happy time. I look so forward to meeting each one of you and documenting these life moments!

DELIVERY

Your top images chosen will be uploaded to your proofing online gallery with 1 week of your session. You will have the option to upgrade your gallery if you choose. Once you’ve made your selection each image will be hand edited and delivered within 2 weeks.

KEEPSAKES

Each product offered has been handpicked with heirloom quality as a priority. I’m not only passionate about these products but nothing excites me more than my clients having tangible items from their sessions. Your family will be able to enjoy these keepsake albums and handmade wood photo wall art for many years.

CHERISHED MEMORIES

At the end of the day all we will have left are photos. Whether you’re booking a session because of a life milestone or just to document where you are as a family right now – it all deserves to be captured. Life moves so darn fast, kids grow and change in the blink of an eye and moments pass. Mama’s I urge you to get in these photos. How do we book?

Once you’re ready to book a session contact me to get started. From there a deposit along with a signed contract will be required to hold your session date. If this is for a newborn session your due date will be the placeholder in the studio calendar.

How many images do we receive?

Digital images are included with each session (these details are listed above with the session information). An online proofing gallery will be available for your image selection. At that time you will have the option to upgrade and purchase the full gallery of images.

When should I book my newborn session?

The earlier to better! It’s best to book in your second trimester to ensure there’s still availability in the studio calendar. Depending on availability, I can take last minute bookings. I fully understand having a baby and all the prep that goes along with it can be overwhelming. Booking photos can sometimes be overlooked!

How long until we receive our images?

You’ll receive your proofing gallery within one week of your session date to select your favorites. Your final hand-edited images will be delivered within two weeks after your selections, via a downloadable online gallery, with options to purchase additional prints, albums, or canvases..
